Peace

We're studying peace this month in my first grade classroom.

That's peace for the planet, the animals and the people.

On Tuesday we completed our first for-the-love-of-peace activity...peanut butter birdseed pine cones.

It was a messy job, but so worth it in the end.

Added prize for being such good peacemakers: The room smelled of peanut butter all day. Yum.

With a little help from our janitors we now have 21 birdseed stations hanging on the branches of the pear tree outside our classroom windows.
