Our New Lab: Gabby Johnson

We lost our Sophie last fall. She was a beautiful, good-natured golden retriever.
We had her for almost 14 years.

Sophie, Cora and BrieAnn Johnson
Today we got a new puppy. We've chosen to name her Gabby,
after our dear Sophia Gabriella Johnson.
She's a yellow lab. Her mom is Sugar, a white lab.
And her dad is Cooper, a yellow lab.
The parents live together on a farm in Paoli, OK.

Gabby is happy here already. She enjoyed a meal of warm milk and
Kibbles n Bits when we got her home.

We're excited about our future with Gabby.

  1. Oh my! The last picture of her snoozing melts my heart. I can't wait to meet her (in person...I feel an ichat meeting coming soon), and I know Cora can't wait either. What a lucky little pup she is.

  2. She got a bath a little while ago. We used Cora's night time baby wash on her...that lavender must have really worked wonders because she has been snoozing, twitching, dog dreaming every since her bath.

  3. Awwww, precious:) I am hoping I will be ready by spring for a new puppy. Geesh, my porch is so lonesome and huge now:(

  4. I know what you mean exactly. We've looked for Sophie a hundred times at the back door.

Little Gabby is keeping us busy. She howled several times in the night. Ahhhh...the joys of a puppy.

  5. Tracey your new puppy is adorable as are YOU! And your blog - it is absolutely fabulous.. bravo! You should be very proud! Welcome to Blogland! I am so glad you are here!!!!!

  6. I love your blog, Kim. So your sweet comment means so much to me. You're like my cottage mentor! Thanks for taking time to check out my blog.
