Borderline Gawdy

When it comes to decorating and sometimes fashion, I've been known more than a few times as "borderline gawdy". I think my dad said it first (and lots of times since) and I must say I've agreed with him on quite of few of those occasions.

I come by it naturally. My mom has it too.

But that's what is fun about style if you ask me. After all, we should have fun with the way we decorate our homes and/or embellish our clothing, don't you think?

This item I bought in Jenks this week might fit in the borderline gawdy category.

I don't know if it was a sewing box in a future life or what.

It's plastic. And that flower on top...that just cinched the deal.

The yellow box is now housing the remotes. That's her job and she'll do it up just right, I'm sure.
