Before:

Perhaps you've seen a fireplace like this before. Vaughn recently remodeled a kitchen for the owner of this one. While he was there, he did a little update in the den as well. (This happens a lot...homeowners see what a change can be made in one area and it spreads throughout the house.)



During:

I love the idea of the arch to go with all those rectangles and squares on the brick background.

After:

Huge transformation. Painting the brass black instantly updated the look. Doesn't the darker color on the mantel modernize the whole area? Wow.
